Day 16 - Ski Santa Fe, Santa Fe

Just how long do you expect me to wait out here? You two are so slow in the mornings.

We know these nice fluffy clouds are preparing for snow.

The World Famous Spellin' Trees. Sometime last year, this stand of trees spontaneously evolved a written language. They still communicate with each other in their own language, but have learned some rudimentary English as well. The one on the left is mocking our primitive understanding of life.

The first snowman of the year rears up from a primeval snowbank, reaching for the stars.

The ravens start to consider the long flight south to Santa Fe.

At higher elevations the aspens already stand bare. Hope they don't get too cold.

Movies and coffee. Seems like a sure-fire winner.

A poor old caboose sits on a siding wondering why it is no longer a part of the train. As it happens, I worked on the technology that ended cabooses, many years ago. Next time you see a train, look for the little yellow or red box on the end of the last car. That is the caboose-killer.
